Oftentimes, when people think of an eco-friendly wedding, their mind goes to something earthy, green, and organic. While we love this look, an eco-friendly wedding doesn't have to lock you into any particular design aesthetic. This bold and modern city affair from Joelle Parks Events Co. proves just that—it's dark, sultry, modern, funky, and bold, all while keeping the environment front of mind.
The bride had the most stunning makeup that complemented the florals beautifully. Her hair had pearls carefully placed into a sleek, vintage style. The puff sleeves, snakeskin boots, and classic red-rose bouquet were the perfect combination of modern and funky. The groom wore a classic black suit with a pocket boutonniere with monochromatic florals poking out. (Expect to see a lot more of this boutonniere trend in 2023!)
When it comes to wedding signage, the items tend to be single-use. However, for this shoot, all of the signage used was multi-purpose and added to the overall wedding aesthetic. The candlestick holders, cake knife and server, table numbers, etc. were all rentals. These are items that couples typically buy for their wedding and then don’t know what to do with after, but this eco-friendly solution brings together all of the big design pieces to create a seamless look for any wedding day.
