Shelby and Spencer were booked and ready to have their 2020 wedding in California, but as Covid spread, the couple decided to get married at the bride's childhood home in Houston, Texas. The guest list quickly shifted from 200 to an intimate affair of only 15. Hopeful Events and Design transformed Shelby's backyard into a flourishing fall garden party with an autumnal palette of yellows, browns, and oranges. The ceremony was set under an antique gazebo decorated with chic dried flowers from Amanda Bee's Floral Design. With the Texas sun still shining in late November, guests were gifted hand-woven raffia fans placed upon each of their chairs.
The reception was brought indoors where guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne as they climbed the grand staircase set beneath a dazzling crystal chandelier. Tables were set with sweet and simple arrangements and a rose gold disc with each guests' name guiding them to their seats. But the eye-catcher of the evening was surely the hand-pressed floral cake from Becca Cakes. From the modern custom place cards to the grand finale jump in the pool, no detail was spared in designing and planning this wonderful event to celebrate Shelby and Spencer's love and union!
