Classic Winter Romance in Washington D.C.
Kristen and Kevin’s elegant winter wedding was held on a perfectly crisp December day at the Trump Hotel in Washington D.C. The stunning velvet emerald dresses, pops of red and burgundy florals, and sophisticated wintery details set the tone for a classic affair for their eight guests. Their ceremony was held in the Franklin Study, with walls covered in gold-framed photographs of the city’s famous cherry blossoms. The father of the bride custom-made the wooden cross that sat behind them as they read their heartfelt vows to one another. A pianist and soloist sang “When You Wish Upon a Star” as their guests cheered and they recessed back down the aisle as husband and wife. Pictures and cocktails followed as the team at All The Dainty Details flipped the room for dinner. A wonderful three-course meal followed as the couple shared their first dance and heard the most sincere toasts from all of their guests. They ended the romantic evening with cake, champagne, and lots of laughter. While Kristen and Kevin went through multiple changes and adjusted their plans from a 100-guest reception to an intimate affair of 10 just one week from their wedding date, in the end, everyone was just beyond excited to spend the day celebrating this sweet couple in such a small and romantic setting.
