This shoot, featuring two gorgeous brides, took place at The Ballenger Farm. This cozy countryside bed and breakfast in Hamilton, Virginia is perfectly suited for micro weddings and elopements. From the cozy courtyard to the grassy areas near the pond, this venue has countless areas to set up a special celebration. With the amazing staff and friendly farm animals, all guests feel welcome as soon as they arrive at this venue!

The ceremony, where the brides read from their handwritten calligraphy vow sheets, took place in a lush forest area adorned with two large plaster columns. A nine-foot handwritten cotton calligraphy banner created by Write Liz Write hung between the columns, serving as an ethereal backdrop for the brides’ ceremony. 

The reception took place under the salvaged-wood pergola beside the main building. Eight Tree Street Floral added hanging greenery and a floral chandelier to add to the romantic vibes. Table décor included gold beaded charger plates, white plates, gold flatware, and blush-colored napkins from Events by Sophie. Cloches with guest names were presented with succulent favors under each of these giveaways. Fruitwood reception chairs from Party Rental Ltd. were used to maintain the natural feel, and the brides’ chairs were accented with signs that paid homage to Beyoncé, reading, “who run” “the world” (hint: girls!).
