Fine Art Inspiration in a Modern Sculpture Garden

Vibrant Colors and Eco-Friendly Details

Filled with modern art and timeless details, this wedding shoot was inspired by a series of paradoxes. Neutrals mixed with pops of vibrant color bellowed over the contemporary art and sculptures. Luxury, infused with fine art, brought the gardens of Dallas, Texas’ Nasher Sculpture Center to life. With paintings created by Jennifer Seibert and sculptures by Barbara Hepworth and Auguste Rodin, this shoot is sure to inspire modern yet timeless wedding elegance. The invitation suite took inspiration from the art in the surrounding gardens, including sketches of Mark di Suvero’s Eviva Amore and Auguste Rodin’s Eve. The bride glowed in an elegant Lea Ann Belter gown with loose braids pinned into cascading curls while her makeup simply accentuated her natural rosy hues. Hand-dyed silk elements and an abundance of florals completed the artful ambiance. These luscious floral designs inspired the paintings used on the place settings and the miniatures given as wedding favors. An eco-friendly well of inspiration, this shoot boasts the use of plant-based dyes to create the subtle sheer gauze silk runner and napkins that graced the reception tables. Hand-dyed silk ribbons dripped from the cake, bouquets, and place settings to tie every element together. The square cake featured a watercolor texture and layered buttercream, mirroring the slate wall in the Nasher Sculpture Center, while a touch of florals added vibrancy and romance.
