Intimate Artisan Elopement in a Portuguese Atelier
Hosted at a sculptor’s studio nestled in a quintessential fishing village along the Portuguese coastline, Nicole Please Weddings found her inspiration for an intimate maritime styled shoot. With a soft color palette of sand, gray, and sage, MyAwina created a stunning floral chandelier with dried lotus leaves, lisianthus, white bougainvillea, and amaranthus. To accentuate the Portuguese maritime vibe, they added large basket lamps and fishing nets to the stunning installations. A Cake Story drew inspiration from the sculptor’s works of art and created a deconstructed stone wedding cake. For the “cake cutting,” the couple broke the status quo by using a hammer and chisel to smash through the rich chocolate masterpiece.
Unconventional, bold, and artistic couples looking for norm-breaking ideas to celebrate their nuptials will not only find inspiration from this Portuguese-inspired styled shoot but also see how using themes from their love story can render an incredibly personal and memorable celebration.
