Intimate Micro Wedding on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade
Kalista and Camilo got married on their fifth anniversary with their families, closest friends, and adorable labradoodle Leo on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. “Once we saw the view of the city from Brooklyn Heights, we couldn't picture saying ‘I do’ anywhere else,” said Kalista. Their micro wedding was intimate, minimal, and nontraditional—everything the couple wanted. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a hug from Leo, a lavender lemonade cocktail, and a solo violinist playing a few of the couple’s favorite songs in the background. After the ceremony, they danced to Lover by Taylor Swift, and the best man and maid of honor gave toasts while everyone sipped celebratory champagne. As twilight began and the lights from the city turned on, the newlyweds took everyone out for pizza and beer!
“We won the #TAGLoveStory giveaway in the midst of our planning and were able to add so many fun details we otherwise wouldn't have been able to. We gifted our flower girls dresses from BHLDN, provided our guests with programs at our ceremony and menus at our post-wedding brunch from Minted, and with Greetabl we created customized welcome bags for each of our in-person guests and sent surprise Greetabls for our virtual guests with the recipe for our signature cocktail—a cosmopolitan we named ‘The Leopolitan,’” shares Kalista.
