Love was in the air as Ahovi and Kevin arrived at The Ballenger Farm in Hamilton, Virginia with only a few close friends. After a quick trip to the beautifully decorated sanitization station, they were greeted by the resident goats and chickens. All of the attendees knew they were in the right place when they saw the large acrylic greenery-embedded welcome sign with the words "love can’t wait” hand-calligraphed by Write Liz Write. 

As Ahovi got dressed in his White Franklin tuxedo and black bowtie by Tuxedo by Sarno, he was accessorized with a pocket boutonniere by Eight Tree Street Floral and a textured facets silver ring. Kevin, on the other hand, wore a Sapphire Blue Venice tuxedo with a black bowtie. To accessorize, he wore a lapel boutonniere by and a cast silver beveled men’s ring by J’Adorn Designs.

The reception took place at the graveled court in the front of the building. This gorgeous backdrop wall with ivy accents gave the overall reception an Italian countryside feel. Table décor included braided chargers, white plates, gold flatware, gold velvet napkins, and clear glassware by Events by Sophie. Eight Tree Street Floral provided large white and gold floral centerpieces in compote vases and fruit bowls including figs, pears, and grapes. Poeme provided banner menus that were personalized with guest names and wrapped around the velvet napkins as well as circular menus. Cloches with guest names were set with succulent favors under each of these giveaways. As the reception wrapped up, the guests toasted at the champagne table complete with a handwritten frosted acrylic sign reading “bubbly for the hubbies!”

This shoot was coincidentally scheduled on Ahovi and Kevin's 10-year anniversary. Feeling moved by the romance of playing grooms on such a special day, both decided to surprise each other by proposing during the shoot! It was the perfect addition to the "love can't wait" mantra that set the tone for this dreamy shoot.
