South Carolina Wedding with Old World Flair
Hints of Old World flair graced Megan and Luke's wedding at the Old Wide Awake Plantation in Hollywood. A Southern fairytale, this celebration of nuptials featured a gorgeously huge white plantation house, a quaint pond and fountain, trees graced with Spanish moss, ivy on the bricks, a wrap around porch, and lush, verdant greenery. Using the long driveway as an aisle, this wedding featured DIY charm, with no fuss. The event’s florals came from OK Florist, and the bride worked closely with her botanist to create a huge bouquet full of pink and white flowers presenting dusty sage, and eucalyptus to bolster a natural look. Neutral shades of gold, silver, natural woods, and blush pink flowers, made the decor creations by EventHaus Rentals look like a dream. The Old Wide Awake is already a beautiful venue, but the bride and groom’s favorite part is the greenery that surrounds the entire plantation. They wanted to be sure to reflect that in the centerpieces, on the tables, the cake, bouquets, boutonnieres, etc. Hydrangeas were everywhere. Some other standout elements of design were the build-a-bar, and rustic farm table featuring a large garland with white roses.
