Southern Wedding Bells

Simply Romantic in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina

High school sweethearts Brandalyn and David wed in their hometown, Raleigh, with a swoon-worthy downtown celebration. They tied the knot at the historical and charming All Saints Chapel to the music of a guitarist, a mandolin and a vocalist. A nod to the couple's love of Mediterranean cuisine and their desire to celebrate in an extremely cozy and intimate space that still had the downtown flair, they chose their favorite restaurant, Sitti, in the heart of downtown Raleigh, for the reception. Dark linens added a bit of formality while the subtle pop of orange kept the scene light and fresh. Long communal tables created an intimate and family-focused atmosphere in restaurant's open-air courtyard while a DJ played a mix of 80's and 90's tunes. A fantastic array of desserts from Tasteful Traditions was the icing on the cake. Deer Lovers photographer, Anna Vanover, along with her husband Andrew, who also happened to be a groomsmen in the wedding, captured these sweet and tender moments between the glowing bride and groom. At the end of the night, the couple bid farewell in style and took off on a firetruck... a fitting send off for the groom, a fireman, and his new bride!
