ABOUT Heart and Bustle

Heart and Bustle is a Pittsburgh Based Wedding and Event Planning Boutique founded by two friends, Ruby Brewer-Watkins and Shawniece Evins, who are passionate about details, logistics, and planning to execute their client’s full vision and provide guests with an elevated experience on the day of the event. We are looking forward to providing our clients with a truly elevated experience, the H&B experience.

From choosing the menu and table linens to deciding on the guest list and managing the budget, planning a wedding from start to finish typically takes more than 100 hours of time. Juggling all the details can be a daunting task even for the most organized couple.

As experienced professional event planners, we will guide you through the entire process of planning the perfect wedding celebration that fits your personality, style, and budget. Imagine the relief you’ll feel knowing you have an expert to manage the planning process, help you make informed decisions, keep track of the hundreds of details, attend vendor consultations with you, and then pull everything together into a perfectly coordinated wedding day.

In the months leading up to the wedding day, you met with your planner to review every possible detail, she created detailed wedding day schedules, you met with her and the venue to confirm the layout of the reception area, the planner confirmed timing and logistics with all of your event professionals, she will manage your wedding ceremony rehearsal, and she knows all of the setup details for your wedding decor.

If you’re looking for a wedding/event planner, look no further! I worked with Shawniece for my wedding and honestly wish she would just help plan my whole life now! Probably the best event planner around! She is a force to be reckoned with and will do everything in her power to make sure things are the way you want it! Her personality is honestly what made me and my husband love her the most! She is so personable and down to earth- but like I said don’t let that fool you she has no problem stepping on some toes to make sure you’re happy! I can’t say enough good things, trust me you won’t be disappointed! — love, a very happy bride

Shawniece was the event planner for my daughter's wedding. She was fabulous from beginning to end with an incedible attention to detail. She was always very available to us and has a wondeful, upbeat personality! Can't go wrong with this ray of sunshine!

You will not be disappointed when working with Shawniece to plan your wedding or event! My husband and I got married on August 24th, 2019 in Pittsburgh. Shawniece was the wedding coordinator at a local hotel where we hosted all of our events (rehearsal, getting ready, ceremony, post-ceremony pictures, reception, and farewell brunch). My husband and I had 9 months to plan everything from 2,500 miles across the country as we live in Washington State. We were unsure as to how planning a wedding from afar was going to pan out. With Shawniece’s expertise and strict attention to detail it was a piece of cake and our entire wedding weekend was quite literally perfect! We can confidently say that it was flawless and exactly what we envisioned because of her hard work and efforts. She was readily available via text, phone call, email, or video chat whenever we needed her. When making certain decisions over the phone or email she would make it happen and then send us a proof to make sure that it was exactly what we wanted. If there needed to be a change she would go back to the drawing board, quickly make the appropriate changes, and send it back to us for our final approval. Her amazing personality, organizational skills, experience in event planning, and drive to make your wedding or event perfect are evident from the beginning. Should my husband and I ever host another event in the Pittsburgh area, we will definitely use Shawniece again without a second thought!

Shawniece was my wedding coordinator when I got married in December 2018, she was very professional the whole time working with her. She answered every question I had promptly and helped ease my mind through the process knowing everything was going to turn out great! She really cared about the things I wanted for my big day and made sure it happened. My wedding day went smooth and everything turned out beautiful thanks to her help! She made my wedding planning process stress free and I couldn't of asked for a better wedding coordinator to work with, she was amazing and has a great bubbly personality. I highly recommend anyone to work with her not just to plan a wedding but for any event! Thanks agian for all you did!
