Southern Romance at the Thomas Bennett House

Flowing Blush Linens, Dusty Blue Candles, & Whimsical White Light Fixtures

Built circa 1825, the Governor Thomas Bennett House in Charleston, South Carolina is one of the most popular wedding venues in the Lowcountry, and perfect for this southern romance editorial. The venue features an historic oyster tabby surface on the reception lawn, a large piazza overlooking a stunning fountain, a brick courtyard, and gorgeous gardens featuring manicured lawns and seasonal plants—the most romantic place for cocktail hours. Under the shade of a 200-year-old oak tree, a darling farm table was set with flowing blush linens, dusty blue candles, custom-made monogrammed napkins, and whimsical white light fixtures casting a glowing light from above. The design was carefully thought out by the oh-so-talented We Do! Charleston, with stunning photography by Franzi Annika. To top off the classic look of the historical estate, the newlyweds drove off in a vintage pale blue car with a sign reading "It Was Always You."
