A Fun, Casual Destination Wedding in Barcelona
It is a no brainer that Matt and Lauren held their Barcelona destination wedding outdoors among the luscious, green villas of Admiral de la Font. This venue about 10 minutes outside of the town of Sitges served as a wonderful location for the couples’ fun, casual wedding day. The couple booked the villa for a few nights in order to spend quality time with their friends and family prior to the big day. Truly an international affair, Lauren is from Scotland and Matt is from Poland. On their particularly beautiful and sunny wedding day all of the celebrations were easily held outdoors. Lauren made for a gorgeous bride with simply classic hair and makeup by Tamara Albarran and Anna Yakov. Lauren also made her look more relaxed and casual by pairing her wedding gown with Converse sneakers that featured all of her something old something new, something bor-rowed, and something blue, as well as a lucky sixpence for her shoe. Matt also donned a more cas-ual navy plaid tuxedo and Nike sneakers. The ceremony was held on the top deck of the villa under tan canopies and a wooden arch decorat-ed with fresh florals, flanked by two rustic barrels, all designed by Lilart Flors. Intimate and cross-cultural elements abounded such as Matt’s surprise for Lauren of traditional Scottish bagpipes from Barcelona. The couple’s dogs also took the role as wedding dogs of honor. The tapas and drinks filled reception was held on the villa’s lower deck. Catered by Gau Catering, guests enjoyed an open bar and the musical stylings of Alex Serra. Dinner was served after the tapas and every-one danced on and enjoyed this special day late into the night.
