Newlyweds on the Water

A Quaint Small Town Wedding in Maryland

Cozy Candlelight Romance at the Sherwood Forest Golf Club

It was at the Sherwood Forest Golf Club along the Severn River in Annapolis, Maryland that Campbell and Austin cemented their love. Their union was a familial affair, honoring the venue that hosted Campbell’s aunt’s wedding and other family events. Designed by Nouvelle Weddings, the entire event was planned with family and tradition in mind. The ceremony was performed by Austin’s uncle and the bride walked down the aisle to a song arranged by her brother.

The wedding was designed in classic neutrals with pops of mixed metals and gorgeous red florals from Eventi Floral & Events. The nature element was so important to the couple, making this venue a perfect fit. With its large windows and doors, it opens to the surrounding trees, bringing the outdoors inside. Greenery lined the tables and hung from the ceiling. A self-serve beer station in a rowboat added a touch of fun. The 18th-century brick, high ceilings, round chandeliers, and lanterns leading up to a traditional and grand fireplace all added to the classic charm of their fairytale day. The nature element was captured beautifully by Ray Photography Co. You can feel the chill in the air, making the cozy candlelight feel all that more warm and romantic.

Every detail told the narrative of their sweet love story. The couple’s beloved dog was incorporated on the signature drink signs and the custom-made card box. The Magnolia leaves were a nod to the couple’s time spent together living in Charleston, South Carolina. To make it even more heartfelt and personal, the ceremony and the photo booth backdrop shared the couple’s long time saying, “Enough for Always.”
